The U Series sets the standard as the premier "standard suspension" woofer in the Sundown lineup, designed to excel in competition lanes and in your daily driver. It boasts a powerful double-stacked 9.4-inch wide ferrite magnet system, coupled with a robust top plate. Shorting rings inside the magnets and on the pole cap not only smooth out frequency response but also act as a heat sink and airflow guide. The custom aluminum frame is substantially thicker and comes with heat dissipation ribs for enhanced cooling. The U v.2 motor features an extended pole piece to maintain complete control over the coil even under high stress, while the coil temperature is effectively managed through machined, high-velocity pole channels and a series of 16 direct air-gap vents in the back plate.
